Parthalan1: High Phelan- The capitol, and biggest city of the Parthalan Kingdom. Markets spread down through the streets, and taverns and pubs are always home to mercenaries, willing to do anything for coin. The higher on the mountain you reside, the higher your social status, with the king, Connal, residing in the castle at the top. Also, home to the center of the guard, the military, and arcane schools.
Isle of Darmaid- Consisting of a mostly hunting ground, a few small villages exist (main: Driscoll), mainly to provide lodging to hunters entering the isle for game. The land is considered blessed by Artio, and is said to have never ending wildlife. For that purpose, people live only on the banks, and do not move inward to the goddess’s sacred land.
Laoise Forest- Considered inhabited by fairies, spirits, and monsters, the forest is avoided at all costs. Morrigan is the most feared of the beings within the forest, and the goddess’s crows are believed to be able to snatch the soul directly out of a man, and are omens of death.
Mahon Castle- The king’s secluded “vacation” castle. He shares it with the Marcher Lords, who serve under him as heads over their own feudal territories. The area is always heavily fortified, even if no Lords are present.
Cailleach Mountain- Named for the goddess, Cailleach. Cailleach is the goddess of plague, disease, and death. The sound of dogs barking can be heard coming from the peak, which is eternally shrouded in fog. Those who dare ascend the mountain, do not return.
Arcem- The ruins of an old elven castle lie on the edge of a bay, and are feared by men who respect the gods. The elves were creatures of magic, and the old castle’s magical traps and defenses still function, killing many who haplessly enter the castle searching for treasure.
Northern CoastThis area of Parthalan is mostly a long, wide beach surrounded by cliffs. When the moon is full, the beach is covered by water, and all that remains are the cliffs.
